A farm built around connection.
Matti's Farm brings generations together through agriculture and education, creating hands-on opportunities for young people to learn, contribute and belong.

Connection, belonging and real responsibility.
The original mission is direct: develop connection and a sense of belonging for at-risk youth by connecting generations through agriculture and education.
The legacy mission adds four outcomes that matter just as much: leadership skills, entrepreneurial spirit, confidence and, most of all, hope for the future.
That idea is practical. Farms create real work, real consequences and real reasons to depend on one another. Feeding animals, planting, composting, fixing something that broke or helping at a community event can teach responsibility in ways that are difficult to simulate.
Matti is the why.
The organization carries the name of Mathias “Matti” Martin, a Kenai boy remembered for his energy, animals, 4-H, sports, competition and life around the family ranch.
Preserving the whole story.
The rebuild also preserves the newspaper archive, memorial material, 2009 Christmas letter, PLU football story, historical projects and years of community events from the original website.
